The Palestinian Independent Film Festival (PIFF) returns for its 3rd edition, taking place from 8 to 10 May 2026 across five locations: Limassol and Nicosia (Cyprus), and Chania, Agios Nikolaos, and Ikaria (Greece). As a grassroots, volunteer-run initiative, PIFF continues to create a shared cinematic experience across borders, bringing Palestinian cinema to diverse audiences through free, public screenings.
This year’s edition is curated around the question:
“How is life sustained, transmitted, and insisted upon under conditions designed to exhaust it?”
Borrowed from Rafeef Ziadah’s poem We Teach Life, Sir, the theme frames cinema as a space where life is not only represented, but also carried, negotiated and shared.
