About the event
Our dear friend and comrade, Phedias Christodoulides, left us after a long and brave battle with cancer, at the age of 32. In his honour, we invite you to a presentation of his two books, which summarise his deep and long engagement with Marxist thought and political practice.
- "What is Marxism?" - A pedagogical exploration of Marx's writings, with an emphasis on the dimension of dialectical and imminent critique that is usually left unexamined in foundational works of Marxism.
- "What is capitalism and why should we be against it?" - written in the context of a Marxist political initiative in Cyprus, this book attempts to demonstrate the necessity of overcoming capitalism from a Marxist perspective.
